Bracknell Roofing were called upon by Fletcher Homes to provide the roofing on their 5 prestigious Show Homes for the new development of a luxury retirement village.

Set amongst 90 acres of parkland in the beautiful Warwickshire village of Great Alne, Maudslay Park this new development of retirement cottages is centred around a sympathetic recreation of the magnificent Great Alne Hall.  Once completed the site will comprise of over 60 cottages and apartments along with retail facilities and a care home.

All properties are designed to be in keeping with the surrounding area and roofs feature flat and pitched dormers, VELUX windows and chimneys and completed using bonnet hips for a traditional appearance.

Using bonnet hips and valley tiles dictate that the battens must be mitred, therefore the felt and battening process was key to achieving the right aesthetic appearance and proved a challenge for the Bracknell team.  To ensure that works could be completed on time Bracknell worked closely with the carpenters, programming works around each other to ensure a professional and beautiful finish.

All felt dormers were completed using Code 6 lead with ventilated cheeks and jambs.

Alongside the tiling elements Bracknell are also installing the UPVC rainwater guttering.
