Client: Seddon Construction
Location: Port Sunlight
Services: Roof Tiling
Bracknell Roofing’s Warrington branch have teamed up with Seddon Construction to provide a traditional plain clay tiled roof covering to an extensive new build care home.
The 2400M₂ area of the roof has used approximately 150’000 clay plain tiles. The main roof area has a range of design considerations for the tillers including the feature dormers across the main frontage of the building as well as feature vertical tiling, which adds character to the overall main roof covering design.
The impressive design of the care home is complimented by the modern roof covering with use of a traditional clay tile. The roof includes a dry fix ventilation system to the ridge of the roof covering with a more traditional mortar bedded verge. Lead canopies in the main roof space have been very subtly placed into the design, completed with by the skilled Bracknell Roofing team.
The sheer size of the main roof has added extra technical difficulty to Bracknell Roofing’s skilled workforce. Planning into the organisation of delivery and installation had to be spot on to ensure the successful installation of the roof covering. It is a testament to the provisions and planning of the contracting team with consideration to the health and safety a core value in the service that Bracknell Roofing offer.
