We are pleased to announce the relocation of our Bradford office to new, larger premises in Leeds as part of plans to secure more projects across Yorkshire – particularly for new housing developments.
The new office – run by an experienced management team and coordinating a network of roofers – will enable the company to tender for pitch and flat work roofing contracts on new housing developments and the refurbishment of individual projects, as well as both private and social housing schemes.
The Leeds office will be supported by the team at Bracknell Roofing’s Burton upon Trent head office – which is a central hub for technical support, procurement, health & safety, compliance to standards – including ISO14001:2014, OHSAS18001:2007 and ISO9001:2008 – and finance.
Bracknell Roofing’s Managing Director Simon Smith says that the new office in Leeds will be the platform for growth as the company aims to increase its market share in the domestic sector and aims to grow its share in the housing and commercial new-build and refurbishment sectors.
“We are delighted to be moving to a new, larger office in Leeds, as we have an ambitious team that is focused on increasing the presence of Bracknell Roofing locally and securing a range of contracts and projects,” said Mr Smith.
“Bracknell Roofing has been represented in the region for a number of years, but the move gives us greater strength to promote our expertise to the house-building sector for both local and national projects.
“We’re probably best known as specialists in pitched roofing, but an increasing chunk of our work involves flat roofing. It’s a message that we need to get out there, and the Leeds office has a big role to play in that.”
Mr Smith added that the move into Yorkshire is part of the company’s bigger-picture plan to be at the forefront of government plans to build more homes around the UK.
“The recent launch of the government’s housing white paper and announcements by successive government ministers emphasise the scale of the challenge that the UK faces to build more new and affordable houses,” he said.
“As a company, we are investing in our business – through expansion in areas like Yorkshire, new IT infrastructure and, most importantly, supporting and encouraging the next generation of roofers through apprenticeships – so we are ideally placed to be the first choice for building and housing developers in Yorkshire who are building new houses or refurbishing existing housing stock.”
